About Aliados Aliados, the legendary cigar brand originally created by Don Rolando Reyes in Cuba, continues to evolve with a new identity. Don Rolando, a cigar industry icon with roots tracing back to pre-revolutionary Cuba, produced Aliados cigars in Havana until his factory was seized in the early 1960s. After relocating, Aliados found its home in Honduras in 1990. Today, it thrives in two distinct lines. The first, crafted by Julio Eiroa in Honduras, preserves the original blend perfected by Rolando Reyes. The second, a limited 2022 release by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo in the Dominican Republic, showcases a Sumatra wrapper aged for five years. This revival honors the Cuban exiles who pursued their cigar-making dreams outside of Cuba, symbolizing unity within the industry.
